CRABTREE TEXTILE MACHINE LTD, a subsidiary of COBBLE BLACKBURN LTD has recently been incorporated as a new company for the design and manufacture of Axminster carpet weaving machinery.

Following considerable investment in the infrastructure and facilities of the Barnsley factory, orders for new Axminster looms are now being received, and deliveries have commenced.

The new Stage VII high speed weaving loom (see photo) is our flagship product; however we continue to offer other models of Axminster machinery, with a full package of service, spares and support for all Crabtree products.

Development and quality issues are central to the company's strategy - a full machine development programme is underway and Quality Management systems have been successfully assessed and registered for ISO 9001.

The industrial fabric weaving machinery of Wilson and Longbottom will continue to be marketed and manufactured with spares and support continuing to be provided for all Wilson and Longbottom products, which comprise:-

• M.P.B., an advanced rapier loom
• I.F.L., for weaving brake lining
• Drum/Prebeamer, for spun yarns and pile bearing
• Polybeamer
• Creels, suitable for pre-beaming, direct beaming and loom creeling
