1999 saw the amalgamation of the two principal UK suppliers of RF equipment to the textile Industry. Strayfield Fastran now represents the world's major force in the design, manufacture and supply of such equipment, combining in a single organisation both conveyorised and static vacuum technologies to highly sophisticated standards. The conveyorised range, featuring modular band, plc control and the flexibility to process the widest range of textile products after hydro-extraction, is available in 25kW. 40kW and 85kW single-generator modules. The specification includes the MAC automatic control and monitoring system, allowing: instant operator access to operating parameters; pre-set band-speed and power values; automatic adjustment of band-speed and power to ensure correct final moisture levels; simple fault finding facility; alarm list; and maintenance reminders. The Cooldry range of RD vacuum dryers, unique in the Textile Industry is perfectly suited to the drying of a wide range of products, where particular emphasis is placed on processing at low temperatures. Cooldry equipments are specifically designed so that product temperatures at no time exceed 60°C, whilst eliminating the need to hydro-extract, prior to RF. The entire range of Strayfield Fastran equipment is guaranteed to meet international standards governing RF emissions (CISPR II).
