Cobble Blackburn Ltd

Many major breakthroughs in tufting technology have been pioneered and developed by Cobble Blackburn Ltd. Cobble continue to meet the challenges of the industry by listening to customer demands and by constantly investing in the development of new technology. The ST91 Sprint combines greater productivity with operational economies and has become an established part of Cobble's market leading range, reaching speeds of 2,000 rpm on loop pile and 1,800 rpm on cutpile.

Cobble's Three Pile Height Full Repeat Scroll (FRS) greatly increases design potential allowing yarn to be fed slow, medium or fast depending on the roller in use. Extensively used in the manufacture of rugs and bath mats. Pile height options are high cut, medium and low loops on a cut/loop machine or alternatively three pile loop. The Three Pile Height FRS offers the flexibility of being able to produce Two Pile Height product.

The demand for servo motors has increased drastically in the tufting industry. Cobble offer applications for a wide range of machine functions such as yarn feed compensation. Cobble Servo Yarn Feed provides yarn control from the feed rollers whilst Cobble Servo Cloth Feed eases changing quality.

All types of pattern devices and attachments such as Scrolls FRS. YarnFeed Variators etc. can be supplied with the latest servo technology.

One of Cobble's latest developments, Multi-Roll Attachment, utilises servo control for individual rollers. Normally used with sliding needle bar and buried end techniques it offers the carpet mill a much improved means of pattern changeover and drastically improves the speed of re-threading over roll systems. It has extensive uses for the textured loop pile industry. Cobble's highly successful Colortec tufting machine is capable of producing up to 6 colour carpets and rugs in almost any pattern imaginable. The finished tufted products appear to be wovens. Colortec continues to revolutionise the tufting industry.
