Ascotex Ltd

ASCOTEX has one of the world's largest ranges of yarn guides and tension devices -over 6,000 different patterns.

YARN GUIDES

In any textile process, the point at which the yarn makes contact with any surface is of particular importance - whether spinning, texturising, winding, weaving or knitting and whether natural or man-made. Not only must the guide material be hard enough to resist the abrasion and wear of the running yarn, but the texture of the surface is particularly important from the point of view of yarn tension; in fact, guides can often affect the characteristics of the yarn itself. Besides stationary guides and eyelets, earing rollers, twist-stops and feed-wheels, which turn with the yarn itself, are particularly important for many applications.
