BTMA is the national member of CEMATEX (Le Comite Europeen des
Constructeurs de Machines Textiles). Probably CEMATEX is best known for the
ITMA exhibition that is arranged under its auspices every four years. Because
BTMA is the British member of CEMATEX all applications to exhibit at the event
are made through the Association. On average we make the arrangements for about
100 members who attend this event.
The arrangements that we make include the standfitting requirements for
members. These range from a standard scheme to custom built stands. A copy of
the brochure that was issued to members at the last ITMA exhibition which
describes the services that were on offer to members is available on request.
In addition to ITMA, BTMA is also involved in the other major textile
machinery exhibitions around the world. These include ATME-I in Greenville,
South Carolina, OTEMAS in Osaka, Japan, CITME in Beijing, China, Shanghaitex in
Shanghai, China and ITME in Bombay, India. BTMA is represented at all of these
events and arranges on behalf of members services similar to those offered at
ITMA.
In addition BTMA is constantly in touch with the Department of Trade and
Industry and for many of the events listed above arranges and administers on
behalf of the DTI financial incentives that it offers to companies who exhibit
at most of these events.
