training and development and has established a programme of courses for this
purpose.
MEETINGS & EVENTS PLANNING COURSEST
'Principles of Meetings Planning' is a three day, two night,
residential training course related to the fundamentals of meetings planning and
sessions cover: strategy of meetings, venue sourcing, venue evaluation &
selection, administration, programming, food & beverage fundamentals,
speakers & presentations, and delegate care.
Normally held twice a year in attractive city locations outside London, the
course commences either on a Friday or Saturday and ends on a Sunday or Monday.
The cost of the course is around £350 + VAT which includes accommodation in
en-suite rooms with single occupancy and all meals and refreshments.
'Meetings Planning & Organisation'is a three day follow on or
intermediate course for those people who have some experience in organising
meetings as all or part of their duties. Sessions cover: programme design,
budgeting & controlling costs, finding suitable locations, getting the best
deal in negotiations, creative catering, and social & formal function
planning.
Normally held twice a year in attractive city locations outside London, the
course commences either on a Friday or Saturday and ends on a Sunday or Monday.
The cost of the course is around £390 + VAT which includes accommodation in
en-suite rooms with single occupancy and all meals and refreshments.

SEMINARS AND SHORT COURSES
From time to time, the Association arranges seminars and short courses on
aspects of meetings and event organisation, relevant legislation, and other
issues as the need arises. ACE also has a full programme of Training Workshops
designed for companies and organisations to hold in-house. Further details are
