Established in 1971, the Association is the
largest membership organisation in the meetings industry based in the UK, and
acts as a unique and independent information centre and forum for members
involved in the organising, marketing, accommodating and servicing of events.
Over 500 companies, traders, institutions, associations and charities are in
membership of ACE, the majority being buyers of facilities and services.
Benefits of membership include: seminars,
inspection visits, social and networking events, monthly newsletter, job vacancy
list, calendar of industry events, and free entry on the ACE Internet site.
Other services include a confidential helpline, representation on industry
bodies and Aceplan Insurance Scheme.
Training is offered by the Association on
Meetings Planning and Organisation, First Aid at Events,
plus specialist 'in-house' workshops and follow-on courses. ACE also publishes
'The ACE Yearbook - Who's Who in the Meetings Industry'.
