The named representative of all ACE Member organisations receives a FREE

From time to time, events are arranged by the Association, to enable ACE Member organisations to socialise and network with colleagues in the
industry.

Information sheets are produced by ACE Office and circulated from time to
time FREE of charge to ACE Member organisations.
Governing council of member representatives
The Association is governed between Annual General Meetings by a Council of
Management composed of elected representatives of ACE Member organisations.
Helpline at ACE Office
Over the years ACE Office has dealt with countless requests, queries and
problems, but most of these cannot be publicised because of their
confidentiality.
Inserts in ACE mailing at member rate
The facility of inserting into an ACE mailing, promotional matter about a
product and/or a service is available. ACE Member organisations qualify for a
50% discount on the cost of an insertion.

Each month the ACE mailing includes a Job Spot listing relevant vacancies.

Key Seminars on topical issues
As major issues arise in the events industry, ACE arranges seminars to keep
ACE Member organisations informed of the implications and to seek opinion.
Legal advice helpline
ACE has an arrangement with a large firm of solicitors for ACE Member
organisations to receive FREE guidance on problems related to the events
industry.
Membership Certificate
On joining the Association, the ACE Member organisation receives an official
Membership Certificate for display purposes.
Newsletter from ACE Office
ACE Newsletter is published twelve times a year, and has developed from a
single sheet in 1990, to eight pages with additional information and inserts.
Overseas familiarisation visit for buyers
The Association arranges visits to overseas destinations for representatives
of Member organisations with a purchasing capacity for events. Selection of the
participants is decided by the destination, not by ACE Office.
Practical problem solving Forums
In addition to Seminars, the Association organises Forums on various issues
in the events industry, and on aspects of proposed legislation which need
consideration and discussion.
Qualifications development through the NVO system
The Association initiated development of occupational standards and
National/Scottish vocational qualifications for the Events Industry.
Representation through ACE on industry bodies
ACE operates the Secretariat of the Events Sector Industry Training
Organisation (ESITO) which was created to co-ordinate the development of vocational
qualifications and training in the events industry.
Special publications and questionnaires
As issues arise in the industry, the Association keeps ACE Member
organisations informed by circulating necessary information on the topic. ACE
also regularly consults Member organisations for their views.
Training courses on Meetings Planning and other subjects
The Association has designed a series of training courses dealing with
aspects of meetings and event organisation. These courses are tailored to the
competence levels of the National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs/SVQs).
Use of ACE logo on business stationery
ACE Member organisations are entitled and encouraged to use the logo of the
Association on business stationery. Bromides of the logo are available from
ACE Office.
Venue inspections in the UK
Inspection visits to various areas in the UK are arranged by ACE Office for
representatives of Member organisations with a purchasing capacity for events.
What's On calendar of events issued every month
A listing of industry events of interest to ACE Member organisations is
published with ACE Newsletter every month.
Xtra offers xclusive to members
Special Offers, exclusive to ACE Member organisations are included in the
ACE mailing from time to time.
Yearly guide for Conference & Meeting Planners
Since 1977, ACE has published a conference and meetings planners buyers
guide which is now known as 'The ACE Yearbook - Who's Who in the Meetings Industry'.

The Association owns its office in Huntingdon which was purchased in 1982
and the staff of ACE Office have all worked for the Association for several
years.
